Patrick Gagné

President and CEO

With a strong passion for innovation, Patrick Gagné has always strived to create social and environmental impact through technology.

Patrick has helped build or created a wide variety of businesses and adapt their business models to our ever-changing digital world. From developing startups (TAG Taxi) to growing national entities (TC), Patrick has been an asset to many organizations with his skills in business development and marketing strategy. He developed a passion for urban mobility since his involvement in the development of P$ Mobile Service, the mobile application developed for Stationnement de Montréal. He cofounded Téo Taxi in 2014 and became General Manager of the startup in 2017. Over the last 2 years, Patrick contributed to the development of the startup ecosystem in his role as CEO of OSMO (NOtman House) and as Cofounder and Co-CEO of Bonjour Startup Montréal.

In September, he is stepping down as CEO of OSMO and Co-CEO of Bonjour Startup Montréal to become, as of October, the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence of the organization he cofounded with Liette Lamonde from MTL Inc. Patrick also joins the board of Directors of Bonjour Startup Montréal.

Patrick has won several industry awards for mobile marketing and entrepreneurship (Entrepreneur Support Award from Startup Canada, Best mobile application – AQTR, Corporate Responsibility award – Novae, Award for employment creation in Québec, Consumer Choice award, C2-MTL Emerging entrepreneurs, Mobiz, Boomerang, Les Grands Prix du Design).

Morgan Guitton

Director of Operations

Morgan has more than 10 years of experience in the management marketing of technological innovations, startups and business development. Before joining Ecofuel, she worked at PME MTL as Manager, Commercialization and Innovation in Cleantech where she helped Montreal SMEs market their cleantech technologies. Prior to that, she managed a diversified portfolio of technology transfer projects at Univalor – the tech transfer partner of the Université de Montréal and its affiliates Polytechnique Montréal and HEC Montréal.

Morgan began her career in France as an embedded software engineer for the semiconductor industry. She is a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, holds a draduate degree in electronics and communications systems engineering.

Natalya Novikov

Partner and CFO

Natalya joined the Cycle Capital team in 2013 and is responsible for accounting, production and disclosure of financial information and administrative procedures. In addition, she lectures levels I, II and III of the CFA curriculum.

Natalya began her career with the Canada Revenue Agency in 2007. Then, for over five years, Natalya worked at Statistics Canada, where she successively held the positions of Census Consultant / Marketing Officer, Account Executive and Analyst in the Business Outreach Program. In 2011, she joined MNP, an accounting firm where she gained experience in audit and business valuation.

Member of the Ordre des Comptables professionnels agréés du Québec since 2013 (CPA auditor, CA), Natalya received a BA in Finance from Concordia University and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from McGill University. She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, New Hampshire).

Catherine Bérubé

Vice President, Sustainability, Investor Relations and Public Affairs

Catherine is Vice-President, Sustainable Development, Investor Relations and Public Affairs at Cycle Capital and Cycle Momentum. She handles public and government relations, she’s in charge of Cycle Capital’s impact investment practice and is a mentor for Cycle Momentum acceleration programs. Catherine is also Vice-president of Écotech Québec, Quebec cleantech cluster, sits on the Board of SWITCH Alliance, Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN) and is a member of the CVCA’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee (Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association).

Catherine was the coordinator of the “Bioenergy” working group for the Québec Green Economy Plan and was part of the consultation comittee for the Principle for Responsible Investment – Quebec Chapter.

Vincent Lafrenaye Lamontagne

Program Manager in Open Innovation

Vincent Lafrenaye Lamontagne is a senior project manager with over 15 years of experience in public, private, political, technological, cultural, institutional and social environments. Formerly manager of the Open-Air Laboratory for Smart Living project at Quartier de l’Innovation, he managed relationships with partners such as Vidéotron, Ericsson, ETS, UQAM, Parks Canada, Prével, etc.

In another life, he worked on the production of more than 30 editions of music festivals, film festivals and business and innovation conferences. With an MBA from HEC Montreal and a bachelor’s degree in communications from UQAM, he is skilled in coordination and execution, both in the office and in the field. Vincent is a man of action and achievement!

His greatest wish is to have a real impact on the world and on environmental conservation, and he comes to Cycle Momentum as a Program Manager in Open Innovation to make things happen!

Nicolas Sarganis-Bourdon

Communications Project Lead

Nicolas is a communications project lead at Ecofuel Accelerator and Cycle Capital.

In this role, he ensures our online presence, collaborates in events planning and the outreach of Cycle Capital and its portfolio companies, as well as those of Cycle Momentum.

Before joining Cycle Capital, Nicolas was a Marketing Coordinator at Lune Rouge. He also worked as a freelancer with various SMEs for their communication and marketing needs.

Passionate about entrepreneurship, international business and communications, Nicolas holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in management, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and innovation at HEC Montréal. Interested in entrepreneurship, Nicolas founded a magazine dedicated to young professional lifestyle and local culture.
